This Monday we all learned that DC/WB's official position is that Batman can't go down on Catwoman because 'heroes don't do that.' This exchange is focused on fanworks where heroes definitely do do that.

Nominations period: June 21st-July 5th
Sign-ups: July 7th- July 22nd
Assignments out: July 24th
Assignments due: September 12th
Reveals: September 18th, which is DC's official Batman Day

- Works must focus on characters giving oral sex. That's the point of the exchange, after all. The specific configuration of characters and genitals involved is up to you.

- While this was clearly inspired by goings-on in Batman fandom, your work does not have to involve Batman. Other fandoms/characters/ships more than welcome.

- Characters in RPF fics must be a) notable in their own right and b) at least 18 at the time of nomination.

- If you have specific preferences regarding which character is giving/receiving oral, please include this in your signup. Matching will be based on pairing + medium only.

- Optional prompt details are optional, however, PLEASE respect your recipient's DNWs.

- Fic for your assignment should be 500 words or MORE. Art should be a complete digital or traditional drawing. Treats can include sketches, shorter works, or works in other media.

- Non-heroic character/fandoms/ships more than welcome, sorry for any confusion!

Hi, I have a question.

I want to nominate various Batman-related comics. Can I nominate each continuity separately, or do they need to go under some umbrella tag (like batman comics or DCU or DC comics)?

My favourite character's backstory and the age gap between some pairings vary from one comic continuity to another, so I'd like to nominate them separately, if possible.

I was just using the tag DCU (Comics). If you want a specific main-continuity version, you could include that information in the pairing tag, eg. Barbara Gordon/Dinah Lance (New Earth) (...Which I might edit my nomination to be now that you mention it). Like, "Pre-Crisis"/"New Earth"/"New 52"/"Rebirth."

If you want a specific universe other than those, nominate as its own fandom, eg. DC Comics: Bombshells or whatever.

Edit: and wouldn't it make more sense to use AO3's canonical fandom tags? Otherwise it's difficult for people to find, isn't it?

When you post your work, you can absolutely post it under whatever sub-fandoms you want, so that it reaches the right audience! However, for nomination/matching purposes it is much easier on my end to treat megafandoms as one fandom. It prevents someone from filling their entire signup with different versions of the same ship, which would make matching them difficult. This is how DCU has been treated in every multifandom exchange I've been in in the past ten years.
